John “Jay” F. Kearns III CELA

A graduate of Fordham University and Syracuse University College of Law, Attorney Kearns was Connecticut’s first board-certified elder law specialist.

Mr. Kearns has served as a director of the National Elder Law Foundation and as a director of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, where he was honored as a Fellow of the Academy for his commitment to the service of older persons. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Elder Law and Estate and Probate sections, an Advisory Board member of the GE Center for Financial Learning, a Board member of the Greater Hartford Association of Retarded Citizens (HARC) and a past president of the Northern Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Jay is also a founding member of the Special Needs Alliance.

Lisa Vozzella Courser

A graduate of Fairfield University and Western New England College of Law, Attorney Courser is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Connecticut Bar Association’s Elder Law and Estate Planning Sections, the Greater Hartford Probate Forum, and the Greater Hartford Elder Network. She has served both as Executive Committee Member and Secretary for the Alzheimer’s Coalition of Connecticut, Inc., and she has served both as Director and Chair of the Communications Committee for the Northern Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Ms. Courser’s knowledge, experience, and affiliations make her a valuable member of our firm – and a skilled advocate for our clients.
